There's a bit of good news this week for Americans working in, on or with Iran for the UN, World Bank, IMF, IAEA, ILO or WHO. OFAC amended the Iranian Transactions Regulations on Tuesday to permit "the performance of transactions for the conduct of the official business" of those IGOs by said Americans. They'll have to pack light though, because they're not allowed to export goodies "such as laptops, personal computers, cell phones, personal digital assistants and other wireless handheld devices/blackberries, and other similar items" without a separate license.
