Belarusians Blocked

As expected, President Bush just issued an executive order blocking the assets of key figures in the government of Belarus including its dictator/president Alexander Lukashenko. These ten individuals will be added to OFAC's list of Specially Designated Nationals, along with well over a hundred alternative Romanized spellings of their names.

(The European Union took similar action last month.)

ECCN-O-Rama

Two newly discovered corporate export compliance sites for your reading pleasure -- open source solution provider Covalent and SMB software maker EMC Insignia. Both companies not only post their classifications, but also provide email contacts in case their export pages don't answer all your questions. Sweet.
